You begin with a steady, moderate uphill ride of about 2 km toward San Giacomo – the oldest church in Val Gardena. From there, the route continues above Santa Cristina, passing the Gamsblut Hut and on to the Fermeda Hut.
After that, a gentle descent takes you across beautiful alpine meadows to the Regensburger Hut and further in the direction of Selva di Val Gardena (Wolkenstein).
There, the trail leads through the picturesque Vallunga, lined with larch trees. From the high alpine meadow Pra da Ri, cycling is no longer permitted.
The return route takes you through the villages of Selva and Santa Cristina. Just before the Soplases area, you turn left and follow the Gardena stream back to Ortisei.
