The version of our 2.5 CIVETTA JACKET sets new standards thanks to its combination of minimal weight (68 g/m²) and the HIGH-PERFORMANCE DERMIZAX® DT MEMBRANE by Toray. The 2.5-layer structure features a water column (min. 10,000 mm), a hardshell, and the lightweight and breathability (min. 20,000 g/m²/24h) of a wind jacket. Tiny beads (micro beads) integrated into the structure enable faster moisture absorption and transfer to the membrane, resulting in a dry feeling on the skin.
New features like elastic hems or the chest pocket make the MERINO HARDSHELL even more functional. The jacket can now be fully packed into the internal pocket and quickly attached to a harness or compressed and stored in a backpack using the loop. This lightweight jacket is the perfect companion for alpine hikes that require minimal storage volume and maximum protection.
Additionally, this highly functional rain jacket features a self-regulating hood. A surrounding elastic band and a reinforced visor ensure a perfect fit in rainy and windy conditions. Simple MERINO COOL inserts simultaneously increase comfort in the chin and forehead areas. Elastic cuffs and hem prevent the undesired entry of wind and moisture. Ample storage space for a map, topographic map, or mobile phone is provided, as always, by the chest pocket.
This ultralight 2.5-layer jacket for men focuses on the essentials without sacrificing functionality and comfort. For the sake of the environment, it is now completely PFC-free.
